Announcing the 2024 Election of Three New Inductees into the Hall of Fame
The new Inductees being honored for their landmark achievements benefitting mankind are:
Carl Harry Knowles – For invention and development of the first programmable bar code scanner, the first handheld laser scanner, the first usable theory for fast variable capacity PN junctions, and many unique transistors in worldwide use today.
Dr. Shuji Nakamura – For pioneering invention and development of the blue light emitting diode (LED), a major breakthrough in lighting technology which made white energy efficient LED lighting in wide use today possible.
Clarence “Kelly” Johnson – For the innovative design, development and rapid production of very high-performance military aircraft ensuring air superiority of today’s US Air Force.
