2019 inductees are

Glenn Curtiss - Advanced military and civilian aircraft inventions

Dr. Perry McCarty - Leading engineering for treatment of water and wastewater

 George Peterson - Development of advanced composite materials and manufacturing




The ESHoF invites you to nominate an exceptional individual or individuals whose career accomplishments satisfy the mission of the ESHoF. Please submit the nomination by December 31, 2018 for consideration by the selection committee for induction at the next ceremony. The 2019 ESHoF Induction ceremony will be on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at the Engineers Club of Dayton followed by inductee lectures for high school students on Thursday, November 7, 2019.

Before submitting a nomination, please review the list of previous Enshrinees, which will indicate the caliber of nominations we are seeking. For example: George Washington Carver, Orville and Wilbur Wright, Thomas Edison, Enrico Fermi, Frank and Lillian Gilbreth, and Jonas Salk.

Living Nominees are expected to accept Enshrinement in person; for posthumous Enshrinements, a close relative or a representative of the Enshrinees institution should accept on behalf of the deceased.

Nominations are normally for career achievements. However, a single achievement, if sufficiently significant, can qualify the Nominee.

Nominations should be supported by information about the Nominee's achievements. This may include citations to scientific or engineering publications, patents, positions of leadership in science or engineering, awards from professional organizations or other appropriate agencies, or other evidence that the Nominee has made significant contributions benefiting humanity through an individual contribution using engineering or scientific principles.
